The SEC and CFTC have jointly voted to further postpone the compliance deadline for investment advisers subject to the amended Form PF requirements.
Originally adopted in February 2024, these amendments now carry a new compliance date of October 1, 2026 – marking the third extension following earlier delays to June and October 2025.
This additional time allows both agencies to conduct a comprehensive review of the reporting framework, with the possibility of further amendments to Form PF.
Form PF continues to play a vital role in monitoring systemic risk across private fund markets. Advisers should remain alert to developments as the review progresses.
